Axis Mundi Films

Where stories become impossible to forget.

Welcome to Axis Mundi Films

Axis Mundi Films is a creative boutique where European roots meet global storytelling.

In a world saturated by content, story is king—and great stories are immortal. We develop original series and feature films, from high-concept, genre-based narratives to stories inspired by real events and the world we live in. We love to mingle strong local flavor with international appeal. Our goal: be bold, be original, be right on the money.

Based in London, Axis Mundi Films was founded by award-winning writer and producer Adina Sadeanu, co-creator and co-writer of SPY/MASTER (HBO/BBC Four) and producer of several films selected at top festivals worldwide. Adina is represented by Gersh (USA), and, at Axis Mundi Films, she partnered with British and international executives producers and filmmakers to bring to life powerful, distinctive stories that resonate across cultures with both local and global audiences.

Our Slate

Our slate of TV series and feature projects, currently in various stages of development, includes an original high-concept sci-fi, a contemporary fantasy with a grounded tone and a crime at its core, a prestige family drama exploring power, legacy, and betrayal, a spy thriller inspired by one of the most powerful yet untold Cold War stories, a psychological thriller with mystery elements, and a docu-series exploring how online violence translates into real-life crimes. The latter is being developed in partnership with UK production company Anima Entertainment. Axis Mundi Films holds the IP for all projects in development.

About The Founder

Born in Transylvania — yes, that Transylvania — Adina Sadeanu transitioned from investigative journalism into writing scripts for television and film. Coming from an ex-communist country, she is deeply interested in power’s many shades and its destructive games, in characters that resist easy answers, and in profoundly human stories that transcend borders.

Her original idea and concept led to Spy/Master, the miniseries she created and co-wrote for HBO Max. The show earned a Berlinale Series nomination, won Best Drama Series at NEM Zagreb, and now streams on HBO Max globally and on BBC Four. Her feature documentary debut, Anatomy of Ordinary Crimes, which explores the dangerous phenomenon of online violence, is set to begin its international festival journey in 2026. As a producer, Adina’s works include the feature film Thou Shalt Not Kill and the short film 4:15 PM The End of The World, nominated at top festivals around the world.

Through Axis Mundi Films, she partners with executive producers and companies to develop original series and feature films for both British and international audiences.
